      Yamaha Genos Keyboard

      Genos2 vs Genos1

Prior to the Genos the top of the range Yamaha was the Tyros5. Tyros5 was the 5th generation from the original Tyros. The ability to improve it further was impossible and a brand new keyboard had to be developed.

Genos was all new and a revolution in sound quality. Genos2 improves on the original Genos. If the Genos2 price is a little steep for you then you should consider the original Genos. Both instruments have incredible sound quality, they use the same speaker system and the operating system is the same.

Benefits of original Genos Vs SX900

      • 76 keys vs 61
      • Aftertouch (not on SX900)
      • Super Articulation2 x 75 voices not available on SX900
      • Revo Drums on Genos Revo derived drums on SX900
      • Genos screen much bigger than SX900 (230cm2 vs 105cm2)
      • 8x Slider Controls, 6 x Rotary controls with independant screen Genos only
      • Richer and more powerful speaker system
      • Better and More Expansion Packs (pre loaded by us)

Above are the highlights, the list goes on. Independant outputs, higher quality outputs for amplification, larger buttons that light up, professional Mic input and so on, almost everything is better.

Powered by specially developed Yamaha technology, the sonic quality of every Voice in Genos is beyond any other Digital Workstation you've ever played. Everything you hear, whether it be the beautiful CFX piano, the lush Kino Strings or the punchy Revo!Drums, it just blows you away!

      -AEM (Articulation Element Modeling)

This technology simulates the characteristics of musical instruments. During a performance the technology sounds appropriate samples, in real time, according to what and how you play. Samples are smoothly joined and articulated—as would naturally occur on an actual acoustic instrument.

      -Revo!Drum/SFX

Revo!Drum Voices totally change the live feel and dynamic of your backing styles. Painstakingly sampled drums bring incredible clarity to all the backing styles in the Genos keyboard. No technical knowledge is required - just choose a style and play, the sound is simply astonishing.

      Incredible Sound Selection

With a flagship keyboard comes flagship sounds. Starting from the ground up, Yamaha have integrated the very best sounds of the very best quality they have ever produced. The piano sound alone offers up a higher spec 10 layer piano then the CVP range of instruments. Brand new sampled acoustic instruments including orchestras, guitars, saxophones and everything in-between have been included. Each of the articulation sounds now has an added articulation switch for even more natural control over your performance. Sounds are distinctly better than any previous Tyros model and have a dynamic and responsiveness we have never seen from any Yamaha keyboard instrument.

      Intuitive and fast control

Genos features an intuitive interface for music making and sound creation.

      -Touch Screen

Select and change parameters directly with the new 9" colour touch screen.

      -Assignable buttons

While performing, you often need to act fast to access certain features. Choose from a range of functions to set to the 6+1 assignable panel buttons and with just a single touch, you can instantly recall your desired function.
